Nicola Aylott is a glass artist specialising in stained glass products and gifts. 

Following a career change Nicola sought a new creative outlet and stumbled across copper foil glasswork by accident. Inspired by the countryside and the beautiful Yorkshire coast, many of her designs focus on the wildlife regularly spotted in the area.

Each piece is handcrafted and the various patterns and natural marks within the glass sheets make every piece unique. Pieces are hand drawn, creating a template which is then transferred onto a piece of glass. The glass is then cut by hand and the edges are smoothed using a glass grinder. Copper foil tape is applied to the edges and finally the pieces are soldered together.
